Well y’all know my previous struggles with technology,
however, I may have been stretched to the point of not coping this week.
I have been having more problems with my phone lines in the past fortnight. Bit by bit the phone has developed a crackle that rivalled someone scrunching a plastic bag right up to the mouthpiece.
Until yesterday when the phone actually stopped working altogether.
Okay then!
Telstra had been booked to come last week, but of course didn’t show up until yesterday. After fiddling in the ground at the exchange across the road, and then the smaller exchange (which happens to be in front of my house) and finally locating the connection for the phone lines to my house – he discovered that I needed an entirely new connection box.
Two hours later, I finally have a working phone,
internet that does not mysteriously drop out
and internet speed that would make any geek envious.
It will not beat me!
I won’t even mention the fiasco with the eftpos machine
(3 machines in 3 days!)
