Black Stamp Pads – the Absolute BEST Review

January 26, 2014

.

Stacey Dunning from Block Head Stampers,
wrote this amazingly helpful post
comparing various specialist** stamp pads.

Originally,
I came across it on the Jellybeans FB page

I then created a printable Table
so as to keep handy when I ordered any stamp pads
OR
when I did a particular project
that required a special ink.

I’ve already found it so helpful.

Onya,
Stacey

Christmas Holiday Classes – Are Back!

December 25, 2013

I have had a LOT of requests
to run classes these School Holidays.

After a year away from this particular spotlight,
I was unsure if I could still do it.

And then I realised
– I missed it.

Badly!

So here is the timetable
& photos
to help you visualise what each class is about.

Christmas Holidays 2014 – Craft Class Timetable

NB
The timetable is mainly for CHILDREN,
however,
I am eager to cater for adults at any other given timeslot
including the weekends or evenings
when a tipple or two would be socially acceptable!!!!

Get SMASHed

January 4, 2013

I do love getting SMASHed . . .

I have recently spent some “me” time
which entails some serious
mucking around and getting dirty!

SO much fun!

Check out the following photos of my latest SMASH efforts.

xoxox

On the following page I:

used a Tag from a swap, a picture from the Net, a piece of Foil that has been dry embossed and then altered with Alcohol Inks and then Fussy Cut

On the following page I:

have made this gorgeous winged heart,

On the following page I:

attached a a postcard I collected years ago and just could not throw out.
It now resides quite happily in my SMASH,
along with some handwritten journalling,
a Paper Heart and some plastic Tabs.

On the following page I:

created my “Oh Come On” page.
It’s where I grumble in code about different issues
I have adhered a small plastic bag,
fussy Cut a Border from some scrapbooking paper,
I have then Stuck down a Hand Cut cupey, a multi-layered Paper Flower,
a small Crocheted Doiley, a mini Skirt Pin and an Image of a Butterfly.

This BAG is the key to my continued SMASHing.

I collect all manner of odds and ends and through them in this bag.
Whenever I want to SMASH, all I do is open my SMASH bag
and start
cutting, glueing and journalling!

So how do you SMASH?

Fleur Amour Canvas

December 21, 2012

I am teaching this class on
Monday, 24th December
and
Thursday, 10th January.

I have taught it twice before and have sold one of my canvases as well.

I find it such a beautiful, graceful and calming experience.
Painting the background is so therapeutic, and
making all the flowers is an explosion of colour.

Man.
I love what I do!

A Little Chipboard

May 7, 2012

I am so bogged down at the mo.

I just can’t swim to the surface
and let the sun touch my face or fresh air enter my lungs.

Ugh!!!

But . . . it hasn’t stopped me from being creative and messy.
In fact – I have been prolific in the last few days.

I haven’t got time to put it all up just now – sorry peeps,
I’m just . . . . . !!!!

But, I have a little sample of what I have been making.
Here is a simple piece of chipboard,
converted to a gorgeous little funky country owl.

I love him!

I will post the destructions for creating him, tomorrow ;)

Lots more to see tomorrow.

30 Cards in 1 Day

April 23, 2012

I had a colleague (from my Austistic Bus run) ask me to make some cards for her – sadly she is leaving for another career. (Exciting for her though!)

Not only did it stretch my brain/imagination but also my technique ability. What would work, look good and be dry and ready in only a few hours?

Here’s the result . . .

Phew!

The toughest element of the task? Most of the cards are for men.
So the cards had to be attractive, yet ‘blokey’.
Easy!
(Not)

My favourite of the bunch!

Folded Card from Jelly Bean Scrappers

March 23, 2012

Try as I might, I still not seem to organise my creative space and this therefore means the shop. And I mention it because I have just created a card that I am quite proud of and I had to do the amongst “The Mess”.

Thankfully, I was inspired by Chris at JBS with her creation.

I will post instructions HERE, shortly.

Here is my attempt.

These cards are so cool because they stand so well on a mantle or shelf!

I love the colour combination of teal/turquoise and brown

My favourite part? I have a couple . . .

  1. All the detail on the Collections Elements chipboard butterfly

Chipboard – painted, dry embossed, swiped with pearl-ex, edges dabbed with pinecone ink pad and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Final tough was a hatpin & purple thread!

  2. The Green Tara flower cluster

Green Tara flowers – eggplant & cream Apple Blossoms, white Stemmed Flowers (cut off into individual blooms), dark brown 10cm Gerbera that was folded and then cut in half

And here is my disgusting and absolutely inappropriate creative space. See
. . . now you know what I meant!

Pretty bad, huh!?!

NB

The gorgeous teal-coloured swirls are a T!m die that the lovely Noriel gifted me. She cut some T!m swirls for me, out of a Special K box. I then painted them in teal acrylic paint and doodled over them with a white gel pen :)
