My name is Pia
and I use to run a boutique stationery business called the

At the moment
I am deciding how I can still have the
Purple Paper House
in my life and still have money coming in.
Unfortunately,
the combination proved elusive the past six years.

My life is totally FULL with the stuff that I do.

I am sort-of disorganised but I do try to be otherwise. I create all the time, whether it is craft, gardening, art, home decorating, cooking, playing with children, bookkeeping (no not really), and lastly – a better world.

I make more mistakes than anyone else I know,
but I do try to learn from them.

I love my nephews (all 3) and my dogs.
I try to be as good a person as I can be.

I have had clinical depression since I was 15,
but I never let it stop me.

 I am committed to taking my medication
and working on the negatives that may affect me.

I love loving my family.

My greatest wish for this blog is that it encourages people, everywhere,

to create beautiful things to have in their lives – so that it makes them happy!

A few other little tid-bits
you may find interesting:

* I was a High School teacher for 15 years, specialising in Literacy

* At every school I worked at I started a Calligraphy or Craft Club for any students wanted to participate.
The classes were held once a week, for 1 & 1/2 hours before school,
and it was free

* On and off for the past twenty years, I have held private craft classes
for children who have autism.
For some reason,
I seem to have a special connection with these children,
especially boys.
I find painting the most therapeutic craft technique

* I have millions of ideas in my mind
for being creative and making beautiful things for my world
